Jeff Vehicles Ltd. was formed in 2014 to develop battery and hydrogen solutions to replace diesel rail applications and internal combustion road vehicles. Current projects include electrical design and testing for 3 hydrogen fuel cell rail vehicles, one will be the first hydrogen mainline locomotive. Jeff Vehicles was involved in the electrical and control design for the first UK hydrogen train – HydroFLEX 1 as well as design and testing as well as fuel cell selection for HydroFLEX 2, which was exhibeted with COP26 in Glasgow. The CEO, Professor Jeff Allan has beein involved in hydrogen in rail since 2005. In 2015 and 2017 the CEO gained two Guinness World Records for EV charging on two routes, Lands End to John o’Groats in the UK and across Europe from Nordkapp in Norway to Tarifa in Spain.
