Kellas Midstream

Kellas Midstream is an energy infrastructure company that owns and operates nationally significant gas infrastructure. Our assets play a vital role in maintaining the UK’s energy security, transporting and processing around 40% of all UK-produced gas, safely and reliably. These are the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) on Teesside, the Esmond Transportation System (ETS) in Norfolk, and the Humber Gathering System (HGS) in East Yorkshire. Kellas is also developing and investing in low carbon hydrogen infrastructure, such as H2NorthEast on Teesside, a 1GW CCS-enabled hydrogen production facility that has been designated as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project by UK Government. H2NorthEast will unlock significant investment and support thousands of jobs for the region, contribute considerably to the UK’s hydrogen production target, and help accelerate large-scale decarbonisation of energy-intensive industries across Northeast England. Kellas is also actively seeking to develop a wider portfolio of Electrolytic and CCS-enabled hydrogen projects across the UK.
