Johnson Matthey’s (JM’s) vision is for a world that is cleaner and healthier, today and for future generations.
As a global leader in sustainable technologies, we apply our cutting-edge science to create
solutions with our customers that make a real difference to the world around us.
We’ve been leaders in our field for more than 200 years, applying unrivalled scientific expertise to enable cleaner air, improved health, and the more efficient use of our planet’s natural resources.
And now, as the world faces the challenges of climate change and resource scarcity, we have an even bigger role to play.
JM will be central in accelerating the big transitions needed in transport, energy, chemicals production and creating a circular economy.
JM is active across the hydrogen value chain enabling the rapid growth of the hydrogen economy.
On the production side, we develop, and supply catalyst coated membranes (CCMs) that are key components for PEM electrolysers. We also offer technology solutions to enable the efficient capture of CO2 from both new and existing hydrogen facilities.
Once produced, transporting, and distributing this key molecule is challenging, at JM our process technologies are supporting the development of global distribution
networks by transforming hydrogen into energy carriers and back again.
The market for fuel cells has grown rapidly and JM has been at the heart of this growth, developing innovative CCMs and membrane electrode assemblies, ensuring our global manufacturing footprint expands in-line with customer demand.
Finally, to ensure that we obtain the most from every atom we use, both now and in the future, JM is driving the development of closed-loop recycling systems for CCMs in conjunction with our customers helping them reach their net-zero ambitions, sustainably.
Formerly UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association.
We are the voice of UK hydrogen sector, bringing together representatives from the entire value chain to make the UK the best place for hydrogen.
