Event Type: In Person
Location: Atlee Suite, Portcullis House (First Floor), Westminster, London, SW1A 2LW
We are delighted to announce that Minister Michael Shanks, Minister for Energy in the UK Government, will be delivering a keynote speech and Q&A at this event.
The HEA’s State of the Hydrogen Nation report will provide a comprehensive overview of business sentiment across the UK’s hydrogen industry in 2025. Our findings will provide government and policy makers with key insights into the UK’s hydrogen industry and include recommendations on the steps that can be taken to maximise the jobs, investment and decarbonisation opportunities of hydrogen.
This event will bring together Parliamentarians, officials, businesses and industry leaders to unveil the findings from this landmark report, providing a data-driven assessment of the UK’s hydrogen economy and outlining the actions required to scale up deployment, investment, and skills across the country. It is a really great opportunity for industry to come together and network across the hydrogen nations and mobilise Ministerial and MP support for hydrogen.
We would also like to thank our co-sponsors: Luxfer Gas Cylinders and Chesterfield Special Cylinders.

Lee Juby

Lee is currently CEO of Fuel Cell Systems Ltd (FCSL). Industry insiders often talk about Hydrogen’s Chicken and Egg problem: Vehicle manufacturers cannot sell hydrogen vehicles without a refuelling infrastructure; Infrastructure & fuel network providers cannot recoup their investment if there are not enough vehicles using hydrogen. The result is Gridlock! Our approach has been to redefine the Chicken and Egg problem as simply “Refuelling Infrastructure is too expensive”. Now that’s an engineering problem we can fix!

Prior to FCSL, Lee spent eight years at UK Fuel Cell manufacturer Intelligent Energy, completing his time there as Chief Sales Officer. Leading the global commercial team and launching Intelligent Energy’s low carbon hydrogen products in to three market sectors: automotive, power generation and aviation. Lee’s involvement with the hydrogen industry started back in 1995 when among other projects he supported the field trials of SOFC CHP.
