Hydrogen Coordination Forum

The HEA-convened Hydrogen Coordination Forum seeks to enhance ambition for hydrogen, the policy framework to help deliver that and mechanisms to ensure UK content

Being part of the Hydrogen Energy Association has given us access to a wealth of knowledge and experience within the sector. This has enabled BSR to rapidly learn about every facet of the hydrogen industry from a fantastic network of companies with a portfolio of interesting projects.
Adam Withers, Senior New Energy Development Manager, BSR Energy
ULEMCo has been a member of the HEA since we founded in 2014. As an SME, membership and being part of an organisation with such breadth and depth, has helped us have a louder voice with policy makers, potential customers and with larger businesses in our supply chain than we would get by trying to network on our own. Like any membership-based organisation, you get more benefits the more effort you put in, and we have certainly seen how much the understanding of the role that hydrogen can make in the energy transition has transformed since we joined because of the work of the association and its members, have delivered, and we look forward to seeing how this translates into new business opportunities for us.
Amanda Lyne, CEO, ULEMCo
The HEA provides a great platform to showcase the experience and capabilities that Baker Botts has in the hydrogen sector, and also to develop channels of communication and build relationships and connections with other members. A highlight from our first year as members was the Hydrogen Policy Update and networking event that we co-hosted in our London office in June 2022 – it was a great event to share the latest updates in this fast-moving sector and to meet and get to know the other members.
Rob Butler, Partner, Baker Botts
As an executive member of the HEA, it offers us the chance to shape the pathway and growth of the association within the hydrogen sector. Providing networking opportunities with other organisations in the hydrogen space creates a stronger voice, allowing us as a collective to be heard by policy-making stakeholders, including the UK Government, which is a huge benefit.
Jon Duffy, CEO, Clean Power Hydrogen
It’s clear to me that the HEA are enablers in the critical understanding of Hydrogen in the UK. We are combined path makers and leaders into helping create a conduit for novices who want to implement and absorb but aren’t sure where to start making it palatable for the end user. We remove bureaucracy and red tape for entry into market from the longevity of the association’s existence and its wide contributing members. The HEA is empowered by ‘doers’ who have real life experience in the industry where a collaborative and holistic approach is shared amongst common experiences and interests to further better the market we all want to be involved in; allowing it to be the great success it is proving itself to be.
Jake Martin, Hydrogen Business Development Manager, Ingersoll Rand
We’re delighted with our membership of the Association, which has been instrumental in expanding our network and partnerships in the hydrogen industry, and really helpful in keeping up with the latest dialogue with Government on hydrogen policy.
Neil Filkin, Technical Director, Conrad Energy
Shortly after NanoSUN was founded back in 2017 we became members of the HEA. We have found membership of the association to be an invaluable resource as we have developed the business. The association has always been a hub and meeting place for companies at the sharp end of delivering real world hydrogen related projects. We have been able to seek advice, solve problems and find partners during our journey of developing hydrogen vehicle refuelling solutions. We contribute to several relevant association working groups where we can share expertise and best practice to advance hydrogen as a critical part of today’s energy solutions.
Dr Lee Juby CENG FIET, Consultant and Shareholder, NanoSUN
