Experts and leaders from across the hydrogen energy sector are gearing up for ambitious conversation around increasing momentum for the sector at the UK’s leading hydrogen conference in May.
The annual conference, organised by the leading trade group in the industry, The Hydrogen Energy Association (formerly known as the UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association) brings together representatives from the entire hydrogen value chain.
Taking place at the prestigious QEII centre in London’s Westminster on May 23, the annual conference is set to explore opportunities for the sector as well as celebrate practical developments on the ground.
The theme this year is Acting on Ambition, focussing on accelerating the deployment of hydrogen solutions and driving change to position the UK at the forefront of hydrogen globally, as well as delivering energy resilience and net zero through hydrogen.
Celia Greaves, CEO of the UK HEA said:
“We are continuing to see so much progress in the hydrogen sector but there is still much to do.
“Our exciting annual conference in London is vital for the sector, in bringing together the best minds and those who are on the ground, every day driving change. The theme this year is acting on ambition and that’s important because the sector must be ambitious in the way it demands and ultimately achieves growth in the coming months and years.
“Like last year, the HEA is proud to present a packed schedule of speakers throughout the event who will inspire and motivate, leading important discussions culminating in actionable goals for all delegates. We are looking to capitalise on the momentum that exists for the sector and achieve those ambitious plans we have for the UK.
“The 2024 conference is set to be our biggest and boldest event yet, bringing together ambitious minds, dedicated to the hydrogen agenda.”
With more than 300 delegates expected, this year’s conference will feature renowned speakers and industry experts from boundary-breaking hydrogen companies coming together to give news on their strides towards a hydrogen fuelled future.
Speakers include Lord Callanan, the Minister for Energy Efficiency and Green Finance, Jon Duffy from Clean Power Hydrogen, Amanda Lyne, Chair of the HEA and Managing Director of ULEMCo and Suzanne Lowe of Air Products.
Throughout the programme, the conference agenda will cover key areas to help drive change, including ‘scaling up supply’, ‘building demand’ and ‘accelerating action’.
A spectrum of exhibitors will also attend, ranging from industry leaders, to pioneering companies and investors from across the UK, all showcasing their work and latest projects to hundreds of attendees, as well as benefitting from excellent networking and collaboration opportunities.
Celia Greaves added: “Attendees come to network, exchange perspectives and build business with hundreds of hydrogen players across the value chain. Hydrogen is here to deliver clean growth, energy resilience and net zero.”
