Close Brothers Asset Finance

For almost 40 years Close Brothers Asset Finance has grown to become a leading asset finance company, providing finance for businesses wanting to buy new or used equipment and vehicles.

As you would expect, our people are experts in asset finance, but they also have extensive knowledge the industries we work in.

This experience means our team understand the challenges their customers face. They are a consistent and proactive point of contact, on hand throughout the life of the finance contract and beyond, building lasting relationships.

Our straightforward products and services are designed to promote business investment and growth. We don’t provide standard packages but consider all relevant aspects of a business creating tailor-made, flexible schedules to suit.

We base our lending decisions on the overall health and plans of a business – not just a credit rating. But we’re careful lenders too, a decision that fails to take account of risk factors and wider market forces is not in anyone’s interest.

Backed by Close Brothers, a leading UK merchant bank, we continually refine our relationships and enhance our products to deliver more effectively for our customers and suppliers. With Hire Purchase, Lease and Refinance we offer effective solutions for SMEs who need flexible funding.

Lee Juby

Lee is currently CEO of Fuel Cell Systems Ltd (FCSL). Industry insiders often talk about Hydrogen’s Chicken and Egg problem: Vehicle manufacturers cannot sell hydrogen vehicles without a refuelling infrastructure; Infrastructure & fuel network providers cannot recoup their investment if there are not enough vehicles using hydrogen. The result is Gridlock! Our approach has been to redefine the Chicken and Egg problem as simply “Refuelling Infrastructure is too expensive”. Now that’s an engineering problem we can fix!

Prior to FCSL, Lee spent eight years at UK Fuel Cell manufacturer Intelligent Energy, completing his time there as Chief Sales Officer. Leading the global commercial team and launching Intelligent Energy’s low carbon hydrogen products in to three market sectors: automotive, power generation and aviation. Lee’s involvement with the hydrogen industry started back in 1995 when among other projects he supported the field trials of SOFC CHP.
